Hannah Dale joined us out in Jasper to shred Marmot Basin and obtain her snowboard instructor qualifications. She left Jasper National Park not only with her CASI level 2 snowboard certification but also a hunger for park and a whole bunch of steeze.
Check out what Hannah had to say when she checked in at Ninja Academy HQ.
HD: Riding at marmot was a great experience, it's a lovely resort and is also so quiet. It's so quiet during the week it almost feels like a private resort! There are also barely any lift queues. Which is great on a course like this as you have so much time and space to go through every aspect of the course in your own way and time. Which would be much more difficult in a busy European resort!
HD: Jasper is a lovely town which is small but very lively! There are lots of lovely restaurants and some nice bars and clubs which are great to go to with friends after a busy day on the slopes! Everyone in jasper is so friendly and they make you feel very welcome.
HD: Yes! I am going back to Jasper this winter.
My favourite part about the 11week course was snowboarding almost everyday and the high level of tuition we got!
HD: My favourite part about the 11week course was snowboarding almost everyday and the high level of tuition we got! It was amazing to see how much my riding (style) changed over the 11 weeks and how much more of a better, more confident and experienced rider I became. The whole experience was amazing and I'm so happy I went with this particular course.
HD: I am going back to Marmot this winter to instruct snowboarding!
